Custom System Design and Development
VersaCloud can modify the core VersaCloud suite of products in order to deliver and support a custom solution for your organisation.
Modifications can range from simply configuring the system in a special manner through to the development of an additional form, to present information in a different manner, up to a full module to implement the management of some aspect of your business that our systems don't currently support.
One of our business process consultants will work with your organisation, in the style of our Business Process Consultancy to completely document want is required. In this way we ensure that you are fully aware of what our system can already do so any new development is kept to a minimum and thus the cost is kept down.
Our approach to custom development is to preserve the core integrated data model and provide changes as either a plug in to an existing module or as a development of a new module. This approach makes it easier, and thus cheaper, to keep your custom development in step with our core roadmap.
Examples of custom modules
The following paragraphs provide examples of custom solutions that have been developed.
ParQ Forms
A client required to record ParQ forms, health questionnaires against the contact record, so their health instructors could get to information about their clients if an incident occurred in class.
We liaised with our client and provided this solution simply by configuring the CRM system and the Survey system. Our data entry specialists then uploaded our clients paper data into their new system so they could start using their new system at the same time their web site went live.
Web Scraping and Financial Analysis
A custom module was developed to interact with what is known as a 'pensions management wrap' in the financial services trade. Wraps are widely used by IFAs to provide financial solutions to their clients. One of our developers created a solution that downloaded information on the performance of funds within the wrap from the providers website, and uploaded it into the custom module. This allows the IFA to analyse the performance of funds within the wrap using parameters that are far beyond the information provided by the pensions provider. The IFA can then implement a fund management policy called 'Active Switching' providing significantly better value to their clients as they have access to analysis of fund performance that isn't available to regular IFA wrap users.
Recruitment Management System
When recruiting foreign candidates for jobs in the UK certain actions must be taken by both the employer and the recruiter to ensure that candidates are eligible to work in the UK. This custom module was developed to allow a recruitment company to liaise directly with their large customers. When candidates were selected the File Management System combined with the Task Management and Work flow system to ensure that all statutory documents were provided and available.
Additional elements were added to allow the employer to post job specifications to the system that automatically alerted the recruiters by email. The portal system was used to provide a login to the employee allowing them to upload employment documents directly to the system, thus saving huge amounts of time and money for all involved.
